Brecon Castle Wedding | Ffion + Thomas
HUGE congratulations to Ffiôn and Tom who recently had their perfect Brecon Castle Wedding. They got married at their local church in Brecon before having the reception at The Brecon Castle. Love seeing childhood sweethearts tying the knot!
Thanks for wading through the field to get the shots both!
As always, the list of suppliers used in the wedding follows the photos. For a more extended look at their wedding at Brecon Castle, please press play on the banner image above to view their highlights slideshow.
Ffion + Thomas
Before any wedding, I sit down with the happy couple to talk to them about their big day along with finding out more about them and their relationship.
How Long Have You Been Together?: 6 Years
Where Did You First Meet?: We shared trumpet lessons when we were aged 11 and 12 in school but didn’t talk much until Sixth Form when we became Best Mates.
Where Did You Get Engaged?: We got engaged in Paris, 22nd December 2015. Following a trip to the padlock bridge (with a special padlock Tom had engraved with the date and “Always” on beforehand), then the Louvre, we went to La Defense, Tom’s favourite place in Paris. There was a Christmas market there that evening and we stood under La Grande Arche. Tom gave me a wrapped present, it was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book which he had cut and stuck making the book into a ring holder with the ring hanging opposite the Chapter titled ‘The Unbreakable Vow’. It was a perfect proposal then when he went down on one knee I wouldn’t have dreamed of saying no!
Why Did You Choose Your Wedding Venue?: We chose Talachddu Church because it was Ffion’s local church growing up, where all her religious family events have taken place. We chose Brecon Castle Hotel as our reception venue due to its convenient proximity to the church, size, good price but mainly because the ballroom and gardens are stunning settings for a wedding reception.
