Eastwood Park Wedding | Josh + Chantelle
They say you don’t work with kids or animals, don’t they? I quickly ticked both of those off the list at this gorgeous Eastwood Park wedding.
Congratulations to Chantelle and Josh whose wedding I photographed at Eastwood Park. In South Wales, we very rarely get mansion houses like this, and it was a new venue for me. A win-win situation.
I’m taking an extended look at their wedding, typically I would only post around 20 images, but for 2020 I might change it up. If you prefer this over a shorter blog post, just let me know in the comments below.
Chantelle + Josh
Before any wedding, I sit down with the happy couple to talk to them about their big day along with finding out more about them and their relationship.
How Long Have You Been Together?: 5 years
Where Did You First Meet?: Through motocross racing but at Hilton hotel!
Where Did You Get Engaged?: Just at home with our two girls, in front of the Christmas tree!
Why Did You Choose Your Wedding Venue?: Loved the manor house look and the gardens. Also, close for everyone to get to.
Getting Ready
Without having visited Eastwood Park before and like any new venue, I’ve not photographed at before I like to turn up early to have a good look around. As with many mansion houses, rooms are typically spacious with high ceilings. The rooms which Chantelle got ready in with her there bridesmaids were no different.
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony room at Eastwood park was situated at the end of the house, right next to the marquee, which is where the wedding reception was held. They chose to have a blessing from a wedding celebrant, which seems to be getting more and more popular.
Wedding Reception
After the reception everyone enjoyed the sun outside and Chantelle disappeared to get her incredible eventing horse to surprise their guests. People often bring their dogs to weddings but this is the first time I’ve had a horse at a wedding. With some building work ongoing at Eastwood Park, the marquee is a temporary fixture, but it definitely does not feel like it. Marquees always feel nice and light and airy, and with the evening sun streaming in it felt almost like a garden party with the guests sitting out in the sun.
Wedding Photos in the Grounds of Eastwood Park
Amazing ground and weather with amazing couple make for amazing photos. Amazing. Lol. You know I love to get creative in the night, and with that backdrop of the house, it would be rude not to take advantage of it.
