Hope you like the handful of images from Catrin & Robbie’s gorgeous wedding at St. David’s Church in Tonyrefail with the reception at Coed y Mwstwr Hotel Bridgend.
Thanks for asking me to be part of your big day.
Phil.
Catrin and Robbie
Before the wedding, I sat down the happy couple to chat about their upcoming wedding and to find out more about them.
How Long Have You Been Together?: 4 1/2 years
Where Did You First Meet?: Weatherspoons Pontypridd
Where Did You Get Engaged?: St David’s hotel 6th October 2017
Why Did You Choose Your Wedding Venue?: Nicest and most practical we have seen. Lovely staff and lovely grounds.
Getting Ready for the Wedding
Catrin and her four bridesmaids got ready at her parent’s house before heading to their wedding. The church was only a short distance from the home which they travelled in fancy wedding cars to the church un nearby Tonyrefail.
The Church Ceremony
I do love the traditional aspect of a church wedding. I was told photograph at the rear of the church (due to church rules). This wasn’t too much of an issue with the amazing gallery high above. Always great to get some photos of the rear of the dress.
Handful of Moments
Living in a hilly region, South Wales doesn’t always allow for these types of photos. Usually, the background is obstructed by hills, trees or houses. I spotted this location, which was en-route to Coed y Mwstwr before going to the bridal preparation. It did mean I had to lay down in a field of sheep to get it, but it was worth it.
The Reception At Coed Y Mwstwr
Be Out Guest always do a fantastic job of dressing any venues when you have a reception room as large and airy as the one at Coed y Mwstr then it’s going to look incredible. The leafy rustic theme was the order of the day here, which suited.
The Evening
I’m starting to get known for a few things now. Sparklers and shots at the bar with the happy couples are some of those. Some venues already know I’m going to jump behind the bar at some point for this customary photo.
