First wedding of 2019 in the bag yesterday at one of my favourite venues. A winter Hensol Castle wedding where Angharad and Andrew tied the knot.
Congratulations both, what an amazing day from start to finish.
Hope you enjoy the photos below and if you you’d like to see more images scroll to the end and watch their highlight slideshow.
Angharad and Andrew
Before the wedding I like to sit down with the happy couple and all a few questions about the relationship. Here’s a little look into their history together.
How Long Have You Been Together?: 9 years this year.
Where Did You First Meet?: In Oceana in swansea
Where Did You Get Engaged?: Fairyhill Gower
Why Did You Choose Your Wedding Venue?: A venue no friends had theres, first and last, modern, ticked all the boxes.
Getting Ready At The Vale Resort
They might be little a little walk from reception at the vale, but it’s worth it to get to the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms on the bottom floor. We had two of these rooms to get ready in, which was handy with the five bridesmaids and rest of the bridal party.
What a true family affair this one was. Andrew spent most of the ceremony with his little.boy in his arms, which he later told me was exactly how he had envisioned the ceremony to be.
Venturing Into The Grounds
Despite the typical January cold winter weather Andrew and Harry were keen to.explore the grounds of Hensol Castle. Initially Harri wasn’t that keen on going down onto the jetty. Instead she wanted to do something a little different to the usual photos on the jetty.
I’ve photographed at Hensol Castle many times before. This is probably the only time I’ve seen the courtyard room setup with straight tables. It does hint at an Italian style way of dining which is family oriented. Something which carried on from what we saw during the ceremony.
The last image below sums up what a wild night it was. Evening guests just kept appearing and the courtyard room just keep filling which meant the dancefloor was rammed all night long. I did manage to drag them away for some night portraits but they were itching to get back to the party!
