Margam Orangery Wedding | Laura + Gareth
Always a pleasure to photograph in a new venue, even more so when the venue is as gorgeous as Margam Orangery wedding!
Congratulations to Laura & Gareth, who got married yesterday.
A handful of teaser photos to feast your eyes upon. I hope you like them.

Laura + Gareth
Before any wedding, I sit down with the happy couple to talk to them about their big day along with finding out more about them and their relationship.
How Long Have You Been Together?: 5 and half years
Where Did You Get Engaged?: Christmas Morning 2016. After opening each other presents at our house. Straight away, I wanted to get the presents for our family organised, and Gareth kept trying to get me to stay still or sit down. Then I got concerned that he was acting strange until he just produced a ring out of his pyjama trouser pocket. Gareth was totally nervous, so I just reacted by hugging him and saying that’s why you were acting weird until he said you haven’t even answered.
Getting Ready
Laura and her bridesmaids stayed at the cottages at the rear of the grounds of Margam Oranger wedding venue. The cottage is within walking distance through a small doorway and through the gorgeous grounds. Even though it’s close, it is a brides prerogative to get a wedding car to the ceremony still.
Margam Orangery Wedding Ceremony
What a venue this is. From the moment you walked into the unassuming front door and greeted with the long venue with huge windows running down the one side making it bright and airy, it’s impressive. The venue looked incredible with the venue dressing supplied by the talented Karen at Panache.
Wedding Photos at Margam Castle and Ground
Ignoring the incredible Margam Orangery wedding venue, the ground of Margam Country Park are gorgeous. The castle which dominates a lot of the views from the park stands on top of the hill. Luckily we had permission to take some photos inside the castle. After hopping in the wedding car yo through the busy park, we ventured inside to talk some pictures before returning to the venue to take advantage of the nearby grounds.
The Reception
The wedding ceremony was quickly transformed into the setup you see below, and the guests came in from the perfect weather we were having. Little did they know they would be served by singing waiters. I won’t say much on this as I’m sure the photos do the talking. A lot of fun.
The Party
Los Devitos (one of my recommended wedding bands) provided the soundtrack for the evening. Plenty of awesome tunes and crowd interaction made sure this was definitely a fun party to finish off the day.
