Fun Wedding at Bryngarw House, Bridgend | Kathleen + Carwyn

Carwyn and Kathleen married at the lovely Bryngarw House, in Bridgend this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding, with fantastic weather all day long. The whole wedding had some incredible details, flowers and most of all, guests.

The couple met at work and have been together for eight years. And they were so much fun all day long. Which shows in the photos below!

Getting Ready

Carwyn got ready at Bryngarw House after arriving in a hired Porsche, which he had for the weekend. Carwyn got dressed in the new groomsmen dressing room at Bryngarw House with the rest of his groomsmen. The groomsmen wore suits from Ted Baker purchased from Slater Menswear in Cardiff. They looked super cool despite the crazy hot weather. Loved the custom superhero cufflinks too!

Kathleen got ready in the bridal room in Bryngarw House, which is one of the best places in any venue for bridal preparation. She wore a gorgeous dress by Kenneth Winston and looked incredible.

The Serious Part

The ceremony took place at Bryngarw House. The Treharne Suite is a gorgeous French styled room with flower arch at the end in front of a huge window. The ceremony began with some nervous laughter, which set the tone for the rest of the ceremony. So much fun! It was a beautiful ceremony, full of emotion and lots of laughter. After the ceremony, everyone made their way outside for welcome drinks and canapes. I gathered the guests around to shower the bride and groom with colourful confetti.

After the confetti throwing, I left the couple to mingle, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. We completed the group shots, which are essential, although I don’t take too long to achieve them and work on a pre-planned list. I got some fun guest photos as they enjoyed the mid-afternoon sun, canapés and welcome drinks. The weather was so sunny I decided to take the portrait wedding photos of the two of them later in the evening when it cooled down a little and the light was a little softer.

The Reception

Carwyn and Kathleen chose to have their wedding at Bryngarw House because they loved the unique rooms. The two dressing rooms, the ceremony room and marquee are unusual spaces, perfect to put your stamp on. Bryngarw House is an 18th-century country house with gorgeous features. The house is situated in a country park which makes it ideal for fantastic wedding photos.

For the reception, the couple hired a magician to entertain the guests, which they loved! With the glorious weather, the majority of the guests spent their time outside. Unless you wanted to escape the mid-afternoon sun. The food was terrific as usual, at a Bryngarw house wedding. They had speeches after the meal, which was fun and emotional for many reasons.

The Party

After they finished the meal, we disappeared to get some photos of the two of them. The cooler evening air in the grounds of Bryngarw House was perfect. The live band were fantastic, playing so many requests from guests. They had an infinite choice of songs in their repertoire!

I loved this Bryngarw House wedding so much, like any wedding, I’m part of here. If you’re getting married and looking for a Bryngarw House wedding photographer, get in touch!
